Children are Sharla's favorite people in the world. Growing up on a cattle ranch in Frogville, Oklahoma, Sharla had a childhood filled with wonder and open spaces. She often would spend her time outside exploring and going on little adventures. That creativity and spark for adventure never left her. So, when she retired from the court room, she returned to her childhood home and began writing adventures for the next generation to explore and enjoy, no matter where they are. These stories help kids believe in the magic of possibility and that helping each other, even when we're different, gives us a common goal and proves we're not really all that different from one another.

Now, Lily and Jack must evade the Garden Queen, retrieve the magic beans, plant them and hope the beanstalk grows, so Lily can return home.
In the Quest For A King, the fifth in the Frogville series, Lily and her brother's best friend Burhead Basilwort set off to save her twin brother Crocus who was taken prisoner and thrown in the dungeon in the Kingdom of Blois. Once there, the king agrees to free Crocus if Lily and Burhead can capture a giant ogre terrorizing their kingdom and retrieve a magic chalice and sword that the ogre had stolen from them. Little did they know a fierce dragon was guarding these treasures! Lily's love for her brother and her desire for them all to return safely to Frogville drives her and Burhead to accept the king's challenge.
